Love > Fear 10/2

How do we bring our anxieties and fears under control? How can our insecurities and phobias be replaced with peace and security? I have noticed that in dealing with people over the last two years that this mental health realm of our life seems to be at an all-time high, a fever pitch of fear has captured many.
From the Father’s heart we gain a wonderful insight and truth application for this very subject:
With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zeph. 3:17

Here it is, for when you and I experience God’s love in our mind and soul, it calms our fears. So how does one practical action make his love a reality? We experience love when we know emotionally that we have acceptance, protection and provision for our needs.
So I encourage you to bring up a memory of when God has brought forgiveness to your life, provided for your needs, protected you from all kinds of physical and spiritual accidents or damage. Ponder this for a few moments. Allow for these memories and their feelings to cascade over your thoughts and emotions. You will then experience his love in a fresh encounter.
His perfect love casts out our fears. Your fears will be driven out by the love that floods your soul. Let me challenge you to make this exercise a regular part of your soul care. Just as David journaled many of his anxieties and fears, he also recalled the faithfulness of God, thus becoming what we know as the book of Psalms. So you and I need to recall the active love of God in our lives to dispel the anxieties and fears that so easily can infect us. Write our own book of His favor and grace.
